The training on the rights of domestic workers and a presentation of a research carried out by SYNERGY Zamuka in partnership with different organizations whereby SYTRIECI also contributed to the research.
The research was supported by We Social Movement- WSM through SYNERGY Zamuka. The training was held in two different sessions whereby each session was made of 20 participants. it held on the 20th and 27th of April 2021 at St Paul. Participants of the training were equipped with knowledge on their rights but also responsibilities as domestic workers, they understood ways through which they can solve their various problems but also valuing their work.
After being presented the research result, Domestics decided to raise awareness on the role of domestic workers in the development of the country. They were also encouraged to keep the advocacy work through their trade union to the governmental authorities in charge to sign the 189 ILO convention on the rights of domestic workers and to keep the conversation going on the reform of the minimum wage
