SYTRIECI Rwanda was honored to host the 7th StreetNet international congress in Kigali Rwanda. the congress was officially launched on 3rd may 2023 in Lemigo hotel Kigali. 139 delegates from 47 different countries attended the congress, with 84(60%) being women.
One of the main activities that were done in the congress was the election of the new StreetNet leadership. delegates participated in the voting process and voted 11 council members and 4 executive committee members. the general secretary of Sytrieci Rwanda was elected to be among the executive committee members as the StreetNet international treasurer.
the delegates and the staff of StreetNet international visited different places in Kigali city two of them being Kigali genocide memorial located in Gisozi sector and Agaciro modern market located in Kimironko. we had a cultural night during the congress, where the delegates presented their countries’ culture through dances and traditional outfits.
